Anyone here a big Futurama fan? I looked around and it doesnt look like it, since i couldnt find a thread for it, but I figured I would fix that forever (or until I get too rowdy on my thread and "they" delete it).

Love Futurama, most holidays (or whenever were really drunk) we just go through each season, its great... we dont really get it on TV much over here and if we do its at midnight or some bullshit, but we've got 1-4 seasons on dvd.
awesome episodes:
Season 1: Love's Labour's Lost In Space... a great Zapp episode.
Season 2: The Problem with Popplers... hahaha when bender hits the hippy with a brick :p the popplers look conspicuously like popcorn chicken from KFC
Season 3:War Is The H-Word... was my favourite Futurama episode of all time
Season 4: Where no fan has gone before... all the little ST "in" jokes (most had to be explained to me ha :p ) AND Leonard Nimoy :D
and saddest episode Jurassic Bark, Fry's dog just waiting outside the pizza shop :(
all great episodes but the best of all time
Three Hundred Big Boys - The bit at the end when fry finishes his 100th coffee and he turns around with the light behind him, then he saves everyone. best Futurama moment ever...
Wow, I thought this thread would just calmly sink to the bottom of the list with all the others that get no replys (of which I have had at least one).
I dont really know the names of all the episodes, but I like the one where they go to Dr. Zoidbergs planet and Zoidberg tries to find a mate. That lobster-crab thing is funny as hell, and I think he is what holds the whole planet express crew together when the going gets rough.

Love futurama. Am still at that stage where if it's on the telly, I probably haven't seen the episode before.
The one about the hypnotoad entering the sheepdog competition (against Bender and Zoidberg, IIRC) had me and young Samwise helpless with laughter.
The hypnotoad is amazing. We all love the hypnotoad.
Hip hip hooray! Hip hip Hooray! Hip hip Hooray! for the hypnotoad ;)
I still think that Bender and Zoidberg won it. ;)
...I mean, I love the hypnotoad...

LOL Beor :D I love Futurama too. It could have developed into a great series. The episode with Bender in the robot mafia comes to mind as particularly good. And the one on the Titanic. On a seasonal note, I liked the Santa bot episode... and the part where they explain that Christmas is now known only as 'Xmas' :D
Yeah, and everyone stays inside because the santabot went nuts and kills everyone he sees. It rocks! I really like the Morbo the news anchor too, espically when he was singing "Funkytown" for caroke, or however the hell you spell it.

:D hahaha that episodes classic,
Fry: "Ok, you're on a date. What's the first thing you do?"
Zoidberg: "Ask her to mate with me."
Fry: "No. Tell her she's special."
Zoidberg: "But she's not. She's merely the female with the largest clutch of eggs."
Fry: "Well, tell her that. And then?"
Zoidberg: "Then mating!"
Fry: "No... Make up some feelings and tell her you have them." *pause* "Yes?"
Zoidberg: "Is desire to mate a feeling?"
Fry: "Ugh, you're not even trying!"
Hmmm theres so many great characters i toss up between Dr Z (yo yo gimme the rock gimme the rock) and Fry.
ohhh god i love the episode A byclopse built for two, the interactive fight at the starts great "the doctor is in" :p
ohhh the laughs are endless

How could you not like it?!
I LOVE futurama! Futurama rocks! Bender even more! :D
Bender is actually a fairly good role model for young children, what with the drinking and smoking and womenizing, not to mention the robot porn ;)

:P I don't mean that I hate it or anything.
I've watched maybe 5-6 epiosdes. When I'm bored or/and nothing else on.
It's not that its terrible - I just have never found it all that funny or clever. Just an odd show.
Like things like Simpsons and Family guy better.
I'm just messing with ya, man, no one has to like it:)
I aint mad atchya.

After I got hold of him? Doubtful....
Incidentally Beor, I am afraid you might have to hang loose in front of the in-laws, as there is no feasible way that I could find your pants in time for xmas.... Not that I'd give them back, FOOL! :p
Interestingly enough, my inlaws dont wear pants duing the holidays, so I did all that worrying for nothing. And wasted money on new pants. Shucks!

It's strange to me, I really really disliked these shows when they were on FOX, shows like Futurama and Family Guy, but now that they are on Cartoon Networks late night Adult Swim I love these shows! Futurama and Family Guy are the greatest and funniest animated shows of today.

I think Simpsons is uncomparable to Family Guy and Futurama. Simpsons is like the grandfather of all "adult" cartoons.

not a big futurama fan - seen only several epiosdes.
I have met a producer and writer for the show a couple of times though. Saw him yesterday at a Bat Mitzvah. Eric Kaplan. (he is the brother of an old friend of my dads).

Just thought that might be interesting to all you futurama fans.....
