I'm in the GMT +2 time zone, but when I set to that it says GMT +3.
GMT +1 and GMT +3 are both correct, but +2 is appearing as +3. Are you saying... Sweden doesn't exist? :D
Cheers, Nurv

Speaking of time-zones, the time is now incorrect for mine (GMT+12). We're in Daylight Savings Mode now, so it's an hour out.

I'm in -7 or -8 GMT, or PST.

I'm pretty sure PST = -8 GMT :)

I'm in zone +2, and it does exist to me. :)

Oops, you're right. So... confused... :D
EDIT: I looked up the right time zone here (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=239). I was right! Ha! I think the change between the two times is due to Swedish normal time, or something.
However, right now it's GMT +2, and it doesn't work. :( I'll try again. EDIT2: Yep, setting to GMT +2 still puts it at GMT+3.
I'm not quite sure why I want the right time anymore (it's not like I don't have a watch ;) ) but it seems like something you'd want to fix.

You're right. PST is -8. It must be true because the message board said so. And message boards are always right, while some of their members are not :o .

Does the time change with DST automatically? Or shall I change my time zone for the next few months...

I think it has already changed.

It must have changed at 8 p.m. GMT...

Has it changed again yet? Because for me it's still an hour ahead.
EDIT: Strange, it's changed now. A few minutes ago it was ten past on the Moot.

It's correct now because of #$%&$&* summer time. But you guys already know what I think about that. :D

I had a big rant about it in the venting thread, but it all worked out. :)
I think the time zones problem is actually with the daylight savings times settings, which (vBulletin may not realize) are different for every (or at least a lot) country.

... found the rant thread ...
Sorry you didn't make it: hope your'e feeling more chipper now!
I need a break myself (had a great 3 days at easter where i actually relaxed a lot) - but I know what you mean: last christmas although i enjoyed most of it, i never really relaxed y'know?
Boy did i sleep over easter though? First day (after catching up on sleep) i felt so groggy all day just through having too much sleep!
C'est la vie (as the vive la france JD would say!)
Hows the lyrd of the rings going? Ive been plowing through it ... will there be room for a mild mannered somewhat forgetful bumbling boozy barman in the near future?
best,
butterbeer :)

Yeah I totally know what you mean about enjoying something without relaxing. :)
You're more than welcome to join Lyrd! You can post once, or many times, it's up to you. I think I speak for everyone when I say we'd welcome another regular poster. :)

Guys, remember that this is to ask about tech and other board related stuff. No chatting, please, and thank you. No need to reply to this post. :)

Hmmm... I wonder why I can't be +2 on Entmoot? It shows 11:35 when the real time is 12:35. So I thought to just say I'm on +3, but +3 is apparently 1:35. So I can't be on my real time no matter what I'm doing. Why? :)

Does Israel have DST changes?
I think you can have your time by switchting to +2 and setting DST to "always on", but I don't know what will happen when we have our saving time adjusting in september...

Yeah that's the same thing that happened to me. Maybe turn the DST settings to "always off"? I don't think they detect them correctly. My time is only right now that the time has moved forward an hour here.
Sweden has "summer time", does Israel have the same thing?

Yes - Isreal just moved forward. We don't move until Sunday the 3rd.
One of the reasons why the times don't change right away is because the server is in California. Most programs like this only adjust universal settings like that when the server time hits midnight.

But we moved last sunday and I've had no problem with Entmoot's time

I wonder why it changed when automatically updated.. and if it's wrong again I can always have it automatical again, I suppose.
Nurvingiel - yes, I think we do have summer time, if that's how you prefer to call it. (called 'summer clock' here) We did have it moved one hour forward, but I expected Entmoot to move with me.
And it's Israel, JD. :p

I didn't mean the date that it should change - but the hour that you should see the change take place. I don't know how it's programmed in terms of calculating the dates of the different time changes.

We can spell it anyway we damn well feel like it - we protect your ass. :p ;)If I remember correctly - quite a lot of NJ's economy is based on Israel. And it's not like you do it becuase you're kind... you have an interest in Middle East. You want influence, and the Arabs don't really like you.. so - in other words, you need us. :p

I don't think so. :) It is because we are kind. And you guys don't bring that much to the table - so don't go flattering yourself. :p
