Peter Jackson's favourite characters.

Has anyone else realise that PJ gave some characters really good scenes and lines. Did you think it was obvious which characters were his favourite. IMO I think these were his favourite three and why.

1. Legolas- PJ gave him some quality action scenes eg. jumping on to the horse in TTT.
2. Gimli- PJ gave him some quality lines eg. 'Certain Death, Small chance of possibility, what are we waiting for.' RotK and, 'That only counts as one.' RotK
3. Sam- PJ gave him some great lines to like when replying to Faramirs suggestion of him being Frodo's bodyguard, 'His gardener'.

Tell my what you think his favourite three characters were and why.

no offense intended but I totally disagree with your first wto choices. I mean I think he gave those lines and charcters not because he loved them but he needed to give them to someone. I think his top three were
Bilbo
Frodo
Sam
I mean he was basically a hobbit himself. Everyone alluded to it and he himself mentioned it. :0 Great ideas for discussion though.

Pippen
Bilbo

because I could see those four drinking, eating and smoking pipe weed like 4 fat little hobbits!

Haha, I was expecting someone to point that out sooner or later.... there is four... as i said I can picture those four little hobbist drinking together... assuming that Peter Jackson is a hobbit. Which if you look closely... well i guess you dont have to look so closely, that PJ is infact a Hobbit! haha

I think he looks more like a Wild Man of Dunland. There is a pic of him with them somewhere and the only difference is PJ has glasses on!

Peter Jackson wishes Hobbit allusions apply to him. It's Tolkien who once said about himself (I believe) that he was a Hobbit in all but stature (paraphrase).

I think Peter Jackson's favourite characters were:
Arwen: because he got to make this Hollywood romance out of her love for Aragorn, and make up a large part of her character. (Whee! I can play with canon!)
Aragorn: Because he's all cool and kingly, and mainstream action movie watchers can identify with him. And because Aragorn just rocks socks.
Sam: Because he's great! And tells his part of the story so well!
Legolas: Because he's all nifty and pretty (according to Jackson).
