I recently got a new puppy and can't think of a good name for her. I wanted to use a LotR or Tolkien related name if possible and so I now seek the aid of my fellow Mooters. It is a female dog, best way to describe her is that she is a small, white dog; part poodle part chiuaua. The best I have come up with is Vana or Maia?

How about Yavanna? Or Arwen?

I don't really want anything to long like Yavanna and nothing toooo well known(and over used) like Arwen.

Hmm... Estella, Diamond, and Goldberry are a few more.

Since it's a white, female dog, how about Nimloth?

Elanor? The little white flower that grew only in Lorien? Whitfoot?

Oh, Elanor, good one- for a small white dog. It sounds like a real name though.
I don't know. I can't think of any. Just go with something you can feel confident about.

I like Whitfoot myself. How about Snowmane, or some of the other horse names in LotR?
Nimrodel?
Lobelia? :D
Elanor the Fair

My vote is for Elanor!! :DGee, I wonder why? Too bad it's not a big dog, 'cause then you could go with Huan.

Oooh! I like Huan. But its too small. Maybe something like Mamukil and make fun of the fact that its so small. Also most non-tolkienites wont know what Mamukil means and therefore just think its a cool but wierd name.
