Greetings. I was curious if any Mooters had heard of this place where Tolkien visited in early 1914. His study of Noden seemed to produce inspiration (more than I read from the web-site). Noden's temple at the top of Dwarf Hill contained an inscription which cursed a man who had taken a ring from the temple, a curse that would continue until the ring was returned. Later a ring was found on which an almost counter curse was enscribed (written by the man who took it from the pagan god and citing the protection of the God of Christianity).
These seem interesting parallels, even if I hear of them second hand.
