View Full Version : The Mines of Moria
Did that crazy JRR ever write anything more about the layout and general feel of Moria than what he jotted down in Lord of the Rings? I was just wondering, because I read Gandalf's description of his battle with the Balrog (Tim), and he said something about a secret stair, and some other stuff, and it all seems quite immense. Also, am I wearing pants?

You're not including HoME? I can check for you if you want, as I haven't finished reading 'em... But it's prolly easier if someone who HAS read them posts. Er, no on the pants question. Do you make it a habit to post pantsless in the Tolkien forums?  ;)

There is nothing in HOME which could be used to ascertain Tolkien's layout for Moria beyond what was published in The Lord of the Rings.

Yes, I do so enjoy reading and discussing Tolkien and his works that I am almost obligated to remove my pants when posting in those forums dedicated to the aforementioned material. *ahem*
And in the case of what Michael Martinez wrote, does anyone have any clue to how they were layed out? Just wondering, answering the question requires no violence.
