Aha! A satire pointing out the hypocrisy that exists in some of the more conservative branches of Christianity. I saw it today.

I believe, personally, that the movie didn't so much attack the actual religion as those who flaunt it and are actually modern day Pharisees.

Any thoughts?

I haven't seen it, but I heard it could've been a lot more harsh on the bible-bashing, funadmentalist Christianity.

I'm afraid bits of it are true, sadly.

Heard part of an interview on NPR with someone connected with the movie (director? writer? can't remember who, sorry :( ). The movie sounds very good and not meant as a slam at all. The person interviewed seemed to have a realistic take on the fundamentalist environment, both of those who are sincere believers and those who are pharasaical.
