iron man movie?

i heard they were making a iron man movie and that tom cruise is up for the role any news?i think it should be out in 2006 or 2007 .i dont really like tom cruise so i hope its not him.:D

They're not even close to casting the movie yet.

Interesting news items on Iron Man here (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=2300) and here (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=3112). The latter item states that Tom Cruise has expressed a desire to play Tony Stark, but by no means does that mean he'll necessarily be hired for the part.
