Middle-earth 'Iron Man' Triathlon: Who would win?

What is it: 3 mile swim? Followed by 112 mile bike race? Immediately followed by a 26-mile marathon...

If you could round up all the fictitious characters (let's say heroes only - and no Valar or Maiar), who would win? Would it be Aragorn? Or would one or more of the First Age heroes surpass him?

Or what about a 'double-marathon'? And what do they call those especially gruelling endurance races... where they run 50 or 100 miles or something???

Hmmm... should we have different divisions? By race?

(come to think of it, it seems like Legolas got a bit impatient with all the silly stops when he, Aragorn and Gimli were pursuing the captors of Merry and Pippin... and he wasn't even Noldor or Sindar - and had never been NEAR Aman! Or was he maybe just immune to the effects of Saruman's demoralizing work? :) )

How about Galadriel? Tallest of elf women, lived by ocean and river so can get lots of swimming training in, and I think it says somewhere that she was quite into athletics in Valinor. (But I don't suppose they had Title 9 in the First-Third Ages)?:)

I'll agree that Galadriel would take the prize in the women's division.

But I think you mean Isildur - not Elendil - and even then, we're asking him to swim with arrows in his back - unless you go by the UT version, in which he DID make it across! :p

Actually, the women's division could be interesting.

3-Morwen (would need training, but she's got Rocky Balboa's
"the eye of the tiger."

7-I believe Numenoreans had greater physiques then their descendants in Middle-earth, but if they were all like Erendis, probably too much a N.E.P. (Numenorean Edain Princess).
8-Any of the Wainriders' spouses. When their camps were attacked by desperate Northmen outlaws, encouraged by Marhwini: "...the enemy had not left their homes undefended: their youths and old men were aided by the younger women, who in that people were also trained to arms and fought fiercely in defence of their homes and their children."

I'm not so sure that Galadriel couldn't out do any male athlete. UT says she was a match for both the loremasters and the athletes of the Eldar in the days of their youth.

I guess depending on what Age she was competing in though would make a difference. She would have been probably more strong of body in the First age, than in the Third Age.

If we are referring to the race of Men, then probably Húrin the Steadfast would win it. He endured the torment with Morgoth.

As for the Elves, I would have to pick the Elves who saw the Light of the Two Trees as those who would have the more endurance, and among those probably the Ñoldorian princes.

I think you would definitely have to do it in divisions by race, and by gender.

Hobbits: The Old Took (stamina, man!) or maybe Bilbo
Elves: not too sure about this one, should leave it up to people who know better than me as have only read Silmarillion once…
Valar: Morgoth! (he is a Valar isn't he?)
Maiar: Gandalf (he beat the Balrog, that's enough for me)
Men: Well, Aragorn, obviously
Dwarves: Durin

I think Aragorn beats down every man, woman, elf, and hobbit. That guy had endurance. He coudld probably do three in a row and only barely break a sweat. Also he just has more dirve and just that inner force that keeps him going

since elves are immortal and dont fade or grow old like men, couldnt they train for thousands of years and become almost infinitely strong? id say any elf that worked out for a few millenia could beat any being(exept for maybe the valar)
