Subak ul kuhar, Dune fans.
Ya! Ya! Yawm!
All I need is a few people to give all they know about the ecology of Dune. I want to put it into a book I will call, simply, "The Ecology of Dune." I'll print on Microsoft Word.
I also want to put them into a second one called "The Lisan-al Gaib."
When I get enough for both, I'll put them into the Writer's Workshop.

These are the sections of the first book:
1. The Physichal Geography of Dune
2. The Fremen
3. Fremen Survival
4. Sandworms and Sandplankton
5. The Planetologist Liet-Kynes
6. Spice
7. Arrakeen
8. The Functions of Stillsuits
9. The South
10. Bontantical Testing Stations
11. Fremen Sietches

I may add more later. When you have something to submit, put the name of the section it is for.

Sandworms and Water
Definitoin from Terminology of the Imperium
Water of Life: an "illuminating" poison (see Reverend Mother). Specifically, that liquid exhalation of a sandworm (see Shai-hulud) produced at the moment of its death from drowning which is changed in the body of a Reverend Mother to become the narcotic used in the sietch tau orgy. An "awareness spectrum" narcotic.

Water, the substance that the Fremen and other dwellers of the planet Arrakis long for, is also the worst imaginable poison for a sandworm. There are special sandworms called * , or "stunted worms" that are used to make the Water of Life.

*I saw the word earlier today, but now I can't find or remember it. Please help me find it.

Sandwalking
Definition from Terminology of the Imperium
Sandwalker: any Fremen trained to survive in the open desert.

Sandwalking, part of the training from the definition above, is very important. It is the un-even walk that usually is a combination of sliding, waiting, stepping, and dragging, and is meant to go unnoticed to a sandworm. Often, a Fremen will use a thumper (see thumpers in this section) to lure the worm to away from the direction they will walk.
